Anouk Moyaux est une artiste-cinéaste née en 1993. En 2018, elle obtient un DNSEP Art, Science et Société de la Haute école des Arts du Rhin avant d’intégrer le Master de création cinématographique à l’école Elias Querejeta Zine Eskola à San Sebastian en Espagne dont elle sort diplômée en 2024.
Dans son travail elle joue avec les formes de représentations hégémoniques notamment lié au cinéma mainstream tout en questionnant la crise politique, relationnelle et symbolique que traverse le monde occidental.
Avant de réaliser son premier film, elle développe essentiellement des performances dans lesquelles l’élément central est un dispositif de projection couplé à un récit oral. Dans ces projections performées proches de la conférence elle assemble des éléments formels variés (foundfootages, vidéos, photographies, sons, parole live) ainsi que narrativement hétérogènes (témoignages, mythes, études scientifiques, chansons).
Cette pratique de composition de ses oeuvres performatives similaire à la pratique du montage cinématographique l’a amené au cinéma auquel elle se dédie principalement depuis son premier film The Sun to Come diffusé au Kunstverein Freiburg (2018) et au FRAC Bourgogne (2022).
En 2020, à Marseille, elle rejoint le laboratoire l’Argent: un espace autogéré dédié au partage des outils techniques et des connaissances liées au cinéma argentique. C’est dans ce contexte qu’elle se passionne pour le support 16mm et la fabrication des images. Elle y développe des installations 16mm tel que La Ronde diffusé à Culot 13 (2022), rencontre des musiciens avec qui elle collabore sous la forme de films musicaux, tel que Lluvia de ceniza pour le musicien mexicain Glox Olia (2026), et assiste des cinéastes tels que Matias Pineiro en tant que cheffe opératrice 16mm (2026).
Elle finalise en 2025, son premier moyen-métrage de non-fiction en 16mm Selegna Sol qui fait sa première en compétition oficielle et gagne le prix du meilleur premier film au Cinéma du réel (2025).
Anouk Moyaux is a filmmaker born in 1993. In 2018, she earned a DNSEP in Art, Science, and Society from the Haute école des Arts du Rhin before enrolling in the Master’s program in Film Production at the Elias Querejeta Zine Eskola in San Sebastián, Spain, from which she is set to graduate in 2024.
In her work, she plays with hegemonic forms of representation—particularly those associated with mainstream cinema—while examining the political, relational, and symbolic crisis currently facing the Western world.
Before making her first film, she primarily developed performances in which the central element was a projection setup combined with an oral narrative. In these performance-based screenings, which resembled lectures, she brought together a variety of formal elements (found footage, videos, photographs, sounds, live speech) as well as narratively diverse elements (testimonials, myths, scientific studies, songs).
This approach to composing her performance works—which resembles the practice of film editing—led her to cinema, to which she has devoted herself primarily since her first film, The Sun to Come, was screened at the Kunstverein Freiburg (2018) and the FRAC Bourgogne (2022).
In 2020, in Marseille, she joined the Argent lab: a self-managed space dedicated to sharing technical tools and knowledge related to film photography. It was in this context that she developed a passion for 16mm film and image-making. There, she created 16mm installations such as La Ronde, screened at Culot 13 (2022); met musicians with whom she collaborated on music videos, such as Lluvia de Ceniza for the mexican musician Glox Olia (2026) ; and assisted filmmakers like Matias Pinero as a director of photography (2026)
In 2025, she completed her first 16mm non-fiction medium-length film, Selegna Sol, which premiered in the official competition and won the Best First Film Award at Cinéma du réel (2025).
